The MED/1.44b certified 6W ceiling speaker is equipped with a 130 mm full-range driver and a 100V line transformer with 3 power adjustments, making it suitable for maritime PA systems on board ships. An integrated thermal fuse provides additional operational safety.



The powder-coated metal enclosure, finished in a colour similar to RAL 9010, ensures long-term mechanical stability and a high-quality, unobtrusive appearance. The loudspeaker is impregnated against moisture and protected against environmental influences in indoor areas with a protection rating of IP21.

For fast and uncomplicated electrical connection, the loudspeaker is fitted with a Wieland connector.

Reliable and durable mounting is ensured by 12 front-mounted screws. Thanks to its robust construction, the loudspeaker is also suitable for installation in concrete ceilings.

ic audio loudspeakers are tested and classified according to the IEC standard 60529 (degree of protection by enclosure) against the penetration of foreign objects and moisture. The classification is conforming to standards through characterization with a fixed code. This code consists of the letters IP (International Protection) followed by two digits. The first digit indicates the degree of protection against dust and the second digit the degree of protection against water. Please note that the testing of the products has been carried out in laboratory conditions which are not always 100% comparable with the conditions of different installation environments. This protection can be reduced due to normal wear and tear depending on the installation environment.
